Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2022-07-18T20:40Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2022-07-18T20:40:00-IPS-001 (version 3)
Quality of ICME Signature: 1 (lacks some signatures)
Note: Magnetic amplification accompanied by a jump on solar wind speed and density. Some time later (2022-07019T04:00Z)there is a drop in temperature and a change of magnetic component pattern to a more smooth one, probably indicating the arrival of magnetic cloud. Btotal reached a peak of over 16 nT at 2022-07-19T00:23Z. This looks more like a flank impact of a CME. The notification was sent out for an earlier time (2022-07-18T12:47Z) since the signature is very complex.
